ZKAccess proudly announces our IP-based access control panels (models inBio and C3) are now UL 294 and UL 294C certified.
ZKAccess- a division of ZKTeco today announced its inBio and C3 access control panels received UL listings for both 294 and 294C certification. inBio is the first panel in the industry which can perform fingerprint matching on the panel, itself. This entirely eliminates the headaches associated with managing fingerprint templates stored within stand-alone readers.
The Systems have been certified to the UL 294 Standard for Access Control System Units according to testing by Intertek National Testing Labs (ETL), a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL). All the inBio and C3 products will include the ETL certification sticker showing UL 294 conformity/compliance. Any external, 3rd Party power supply that is used to power these access control panels must be an ETL or UL Listed power supply in order to maintain compliance to the UL 294 standard.
“We take great pride in developing and introducing into the market quality products which meet the industry’s highest security and safety standards. We also want our customers and dealers having the confidence UL has deemed in our products to be safe. UL certification was the next logical step in our product line’ evolution.” said Manish Dalal, General Manager, ZKAccess.
UL is world-renowned as the gold label for product safety and compliance to standards. Note UL has developed more than 1,000 standards which are vital to ensuring public safety and that manufacturers continue producing quality products and services. ZKAccess’ panels received the UL 294 standard which applies to the construction, performance and operation of access control systems and equipment intended to either regulate or control A) Entry/Egress from a controlled area or B) Access to the use of electrical or mechanical devices.
ZKAccess’ product line consists of one, two and four-door IP-based access control panels and Biometric & RFID readers, all managed by our feature-rich web-based software. Unlike other access control panels available in the market, our readers can operate either standalone or with any 3rd party access control panel.
